Crowns

Crowns are single-tooth restorations that are recommended in cases where there is insufficient tooth structure left due to fractures, decay, or failing restorations. Crowns cover the entire visible tooth surface and help restore broken-down teeth to proper function and esthetic.

Crowns can be used to attach a bridge, protect a weak tooth from breaking, or restore one that is already broken. A crown is a good way to cover teeth that are discolored or badly shaped. It is also used to coverdental implants.

If your dentist determines that you need a crown, it is probably to correct one of these conditions. Our primary concern, like yours, is helping you keep your teeth healthy and your smile bright.

Once a crown is placed, you care for it as you do your natural teeth with conscientious brushing twice a day and daily flossing.
